Dental implants for Jersey City, New Jersey

One dentist, one plan, one fee for the arch.

Full-arch quotes around here vary enormously, and the spread says more about what each one leaves out than about the dentistry. This practice quotes a single flat fee per arch that covers the finished result.

Lukenda Dental is at 1093 Raritan Road, Suite 1, Clark, New Jersey 07066 — turnpike south to exit 13, then the Parkway to exit 135. Dr. Richard Lukenda, DMD, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, places the implants and makes the teeth that go on them in the same office. Call 732-428-4080.

The drive

New Jersey Turnpike south to exit 13, then Garden State Parkway to exit 135. About eighteen miles, thirty to forty minutes depending on the hour. There is no parking to find at the other end.

What the fee covers

Every extraction the arch needs, the implants — four, six or eight, decided by your scan — any bone grafting, the bridge fitted on the day of surgery, and the definitive full zirconia bridge months later. No line items appear afterwards. Ask any other quote whether it can say the same.

What is included in a plan here

The written plan lists the extractions, the implants, the provisional bridge fitted the same day, and the definitive bridge. If a graft is needed the scan says so and it is priced separately, not discovered later.

PATH, ferry and the car you do not have

Plenty of Jersey City patients do not own a car. NJ Transit to Rahway and a short taxi is the usual route, and it is about an hour. Worth planning for the surgical appointment specifically: you will need someone to get you home, and that is not a train ride you want to make alone.

Straight answers

What Jersey City patients ask first.

Four questions that come up in nearly every implant consultation, answered before you book one.

Call 732-428-4080
Do I go home without teeth while the implants heal?
No. A fixed provisional bridge is screwed on the same day the implants go in, so you leave with teeth in place. It is temporary in the sense that it will be replaced by the definitive bridge once the implants have fused — not in the sense that it comes out at night.
How long do dental implants last?
The implant itself is designed to be permanent, and long-term studies of implant dentistry report high survival rates well past ten years. What wears is the part on top — the crown or the bridge — which is replaceable without touching the implant. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and skipped hygiene visits are the things that shorten the odds.
Will my insurance cover any of this?
Usually some of it. Most PPO plans contribute to extractions, and many contribute to part of the restoration; few cover a full arch outright. We file the claims for you and, on larger cases, request pre-determination in writing so the figure is confirmed before you commit.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
No. You can book directly. If another dentist has referred you for implant treatment, bring the referral and any recent X-rays — it saves repeating imaging you have already had.
